Sherman Alexie's first young adult novel,
The
Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian,

Organized by novelist

thousand participants. To help
young people in underserved communities
to take part, publisher Little Brown
Books for Young Readers has donated

in the March 3 visit and related events.
According to Little Brown, The Absolutely
True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, Alexie's
first book for young-adults, has sold 250,000
copies in hardcover since it was published
in October of 2007.
