In 2007, 238 publishers and imprints nominated 1, 183 titles— 270 in Fiction, 475 in Nonfiction, 182 in Poetry, and 256 in Young People's Literature.

When and where is the Awards Ceremony?
The 59th annual National Book Awards Ceremony will be held on November 19, 2008 at Cipriani, Wall Street in New York City.

Can I come to the Awards Ceremony?
Admission to the Awards Ceremony is by invitation only. For more information regarding the Awards, contact the Foundation at (212)685-0261.

How do I bring a National Book Award author to my school or community center?

Do you donate books?
Unfortunately, our budget does not allow us to donate books to outside individuals or programs other than those with which we are currently affiliated.
