of Melanin Sun. Other awards include The Jane Addams
Peace Award for Social Justice, The Los Angeles Times
Book Prize and a Parenting Magazine Best Book
Award. Her most recent book is Hush. Jacqueline
grew up in South Carolina and in the Bushwick section
