Kevin Young
His work has appeared in The
New Yorker, The Paris Review, Callaloo, Kenyon Review,
Grand Street and many other literary magazines.
Currently an assistant professor
at the University of Georgia, Kevin has received fellowships
from the prestigious MacDowell Colony, has been a Wallace
Stegner Fellow at Stanford University, a recipient of
an Academy of American Poets Prize, and was a member
of the influential Cambridge, Massachussets-based Dark
Room Collective.
As if that weren't enough,
last year he was named by Swing magazine as one
of the most powerful people under age 30 in the United
States! He lives in Athens, Georgia.

Kevin
Young is one of the hottest poets around today. His
book Most Way Home (Zoland Books), was selected
for the National Poetry Series by Lucille Clifton and
won the John Zacharis Award, given by Ploughshares
magazine for the best first book of poetry for the
year. He also edited an anthology called Giant Steps:
The New Generation of African American Writers.
