Author Bio
Liza N. Burby is a journalist and author of 39 children's books for elementary through high school readers. These include a series of women in sports, women in science, "A Day in the Life of" career books, as well as several others. She is also the author of How to Publish Your Children's Book for Square One Publishers, and an upcoming parenting book, What Do We Tell Our Children? for Parenting Press.

In addition, Liza is a freelance writer for Newsday and the managing editor of the highly-regarded Long Island Parents & Children magazine, published through Newsday. Her award-winning articles have also appeared in national publications like Child, Parents, Parenting, Better Homes & Gardens and Ladies' Home Journal, to name a few. Liza has also appeared on several radio and TV talk shows about her writing, and frequently speaks to students about her career and other topics of interest. She is the mother of two daughters and lives with her husband and children in
Huntington.
