Author Biography

Pete Hautman writes fiction for adults and teens. His poker-themed crime novels, Drawing Dead and The Mortal Nuts, were selected as New York Times Book Review Notable Books. Hautman's work has been nominated for the Mystery Writers of America's Edgar Allan Poe Award, and has won Best YA Book of the Year from the Michigan Library Association, the Minnesota Book Award for Best Popular Novel and for Best Young Adult Novel, and the Wisconsin Library Association Award in both the adult and young adult categories. He lives in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
