Author Biography
William Heyen has been Professor of English and
Poet-in-Residence at SUNY Brockport in Brockport, New
York for more than 20 years. He has received fellowships
from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment
for the Arts, and the American Academy and Institute of
Arts & Letters. Author of 16 previous volumes of poetry
and five books of prose, he was born in Brooklyn and raised
on Long Island.
