Shelia P.Moses

2004 National Book Award Young People's Literature Finalist, Shelia P. Moses is a writer, producer and playwright. She was raised the ninth of ten children on Rehoboth Road in Rich Square, North Carolina, where her first novel The Legend of Buddy Bush is set. She is the co-author of Dick Gregory's memoir, Callus on My Soul. Other books by Shelia P. Moses are One More River to Cross and I, Dred Scott. She has recently completed the sequel to The Legend of Buddy Bush; titled The Return of Buddy Bush. Shelia also received the Coretta Scott King Honor Book Award in January, 2005. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia where she is currently writing a history book for the 100 Black Men of Atlanta.
