The 77th National Book Awards Ceremony & Benefit Dinner begins with a cocktail hour at 6:00pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. The seated dinner starts at 7:00pm, and the program will begin at 8:00pm, followed by the After Party at 10:00pm.
The Awards Ceremony will be held at Cipriani Wall Street—55 Wall Street, New York, NY 10004.

Q. What is the dress code?
A: The dress code for the evening is black-tie, and formal attire from any tradition is welcome.
Q. What do I need to check in?
A: There are no physical or digital tickets for this event. Once you submit your or your guest information to our event platform (Vow), you will simply need to give your name at check-in and our team will direct you to your table.
Q. Do I need a separate ticket to attend the After Party?
A: No, you do not need a separate ticket. All Ceremony guests will be automatically admitted to the After Party.
Q. Will this event be livestreamed?
A: Yes, the Ceremony will be streamed in full on our website—if you are not joining us in person, you can register to watch live at 8:00pm EST, at nationalbook.org/awards.
Q. Is my ticket tax deductible?
A: National Book Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and part of each ticket is tax-deductible within the guidelines of US law. To claim a deduction on your US taxes, please keep the email receipt you will receive upon successful completion of your purchase, which serves as your official confirmation.
