Join the National Book Foundation and the DC Public Library for a celebration focused on the literary legacy and seminal works of James Baldwin, a four-time National Book Award Finalist (Giovanni’s RoomNobody Knows My NameThe Fire Next Time, and Just Above My Head).

The conversation will be followed by a screening of the acclaimed documentary I Am Not Your Negro.

Author in Focus: James Baldwin is presented with filmmaker Raoul Peck and Velvet Films, the team behind I Am Not Your Negro, with funding from the Ford Foundation.

There will be a limited amount of free titles by James Baldwin at the event.
