Event Details

Presented in partnership with the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

Raise a glass and share a meal with today’s most renowned authors in this unique series of literary evenings at BAMcafé. Each event includes a festive dinner by Great Performances featuring a seasonal menu and live music accompaniment. After the meal, the evening’s featured author reads from his or her work and discusses the creative process. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and have their books signed at the conclusion of the evening.

Ben Lerner has been awarded fellowships from the Fulbright, Guggenheim, and MacArthur Foundations, among other honors. He is the author of three books of poetry (The Lichtenberg Figures, Angle of Yaw, and Mean Free Path) and two novels (Leaving the Atocha Station and 10:04). His latest book is the monograph The Hatred of Poetry.
Moderated by Deborah Treisman.
