Raise a glass and share a meal with today’s most renowned authors in this unique series of literary evenings at BAMcafé. Each event includes a festive dinner by Great Performances featuring a seasonal menu and live music accompaniment. After the meal, the evening’s featured author reads from his or her work and discusses the creative process. Guests are encouraged to ask questions and have their books signed at the conclusion of the evening.

Jacqueline Woodson’s New York Times bestselling memoir Brown Girl Dreaming received the 2014 National Book Award, a Newbery Honor Award, and the NAACP Image Award. She is also the author of more than two dozen award-winning books for young adults, including If You Come Softly, The Other Side, and Miracle’s Boys. Her novel Another Brooklyn was a 2016 National Book Award finalist.
