Kevin Young is the director of the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and the poetry editor at The New Yorker. He is the author of 11 books of poetry, including Blue Laws: Selected & Uncollected Poems 1995—2015, which was longlisted for the National Book Award, and The Grey Album: On the Blackness of Blackness, which won the PEN Open Book Award and was a New York Times Notable Book. Young’s most recent book, Bunk, was longlisted for the National Book Award for Nonfiction.
