Join National Book Award–honored authors Emily St. John Mandel (Station Eleven, 2014 Fiction Finalist) and Charles Yu (Interior Chinatown, 2020 Fiction Winner) for a conversation on what it means to have your work adapted for film and TV, and the many different professional hats worn by contemporary writers.

Moderated by Ruth Dickey, Executive Director of the National Book Foundation.

Presented in partnership with the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) and livestreamed on AWP’s virtual conference platform.
