Learn more about the literary activists who have been recognized by the National Book Foundation’s annual Innovations in Reading Prize. Founded in 2009, the Innovations in Prize recognizes individuals and organizations that have developed innovative means of creating and sustaining a lifelong love of reading. Originally the Prize offered $2,500 to up to five winners a year, but as of 2015 the Prize recognizes one $10,000 winner and four honorable mentions.
