Dr. Aidyl Gonzalez-Serricchio is a Caltech-trained molecular geneticist, author, and science communicator whose work spans microbiology, astrobiology, and Alzheimer’s disease research. She co-founded STEAM Superheroes and leads global citizen science initiatives that connect communities to real-world research. Her bilingual children’s book Gigi & Nema: Guardians of the Soil blends sustainability, science, and Puerto Rican heritage. She is also the author of Everyday Lab Math: Real Chemistry for Everyone – Science, Skincare & DIY Making. Aidyl has spoken at the United Nations and was named one of The Explorers Club’s 50 for championing equity, curiosity, and environmental empathy.
