Alex Sanchez has written eight novels for young people, including the groundbreaking American Library Association Best Book for Young Adults Rainbow Boys and Lambda Award-winning So Hard to Say. His novel Bait won the 2009 Florida Book Award Gold Medal for Young Adult fiction. Alex received his master’s in guidance and counseling from Old Dominion University and worked for many years as a youth and family counselor.
