Angela Flournoy is the author of The Wilderness, which has been named a finalist for the Kirkus Prize and Longlisted for the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award, and named one of the ten best books of the year by The Washington Post. Her debut novel, The Turner House, was a Finalist for the National Book Award. Her fiction has appeared in The Paris Review, and she has written for the New York Times, The New Yorker, Los Angeles Times, and elsewhere. She lives in New York.
