Danielle Evans is the author of two short story collections, The Office of Historical Corrections and Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self. Her work has been awarded the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize, the Hurston-Wright Legacy Award, the Joyce Carol Oates Prize, a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, and a United States Artists fellowship. She lives in Baltimore, where she is an associate professor in The Writing Seminars at Johns Hopkins University.
