Gabrielle Calvocoressi is the author of four poetry collections: The New Economy; Rocket Fantastic, winner of the Audre Lorde Award for Lesbian Poetry; Apocalyptic Swing, a Los Angeles Times Book Prize Finalist; and The Last Time I Saw Amelia Earhart, Connecticut Book Award Winner and Northern California Book Award Finalist. Calvocoressi has been awarded the Lucille Clifton Legacy Award, the Stegner Fellowship, Stanford University’s Jones Lectureship, The Paris Review’s Bernard F. Conners Prize, the Rona Jaffe Women’s Writer’s Award, and residencies from the Lannan Foundation and Civitella Di Ranieri Foundation. Calvocoressi’s poetry has been published or is forthcoming in The Baffler, the New York Times, Poetry, Boston Review, Kenyon Review, Tin House, and The New Yorker. Calvocoressi teaches at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and serves as the Editor at Large at Los Angeles Review of Books, and Poetry Editor at Southern Cultures.
