Jenny Xie

Jenny Xie is the author of Eye Level, a National Book Award Finalist, PEN Open Book Award finalist, and the recipient of the Academy of American Poets’ Walt Whitman Award and Princeton University’s Holmes National Poetry Prize. Her chapbook, Nowhere to Arrive, received the Drinking Gourd Prize. She has been supported by fellowships and grants from Civitella Ranieri Foundation, Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Kundiman, and New York Foundation for the Arts. In 2020, she was awarded the Vilcek Prize for Creative Promise in Literature. Her poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, The New Republic, Poetry, Tin House, and elsewhere. She has taught at Princeton and New York Universities, and is currently on faculty at Bard College. The Rupture Tense is her second collection.
