Jenny Xie was born in Anhui, China, and resides in New York City. She is the author of The Rupture Tense and Eye Level, both Finalists for the National Book Award. Her chapbook, Nowhere to Arrive, received the Drinking Gourd Chapbook Poetry Prize. She has taught at Princeton University and NYU and is currently on faculty at Bard College.
