Joseph Osmundson is a scientist, writer, and queer health advocate. He has a PhD in Molecular Biophysics, his research has been published in leading journals including Cell and PNAS, and he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Biology at New York University. His essays have been published in the New York Times, The Atlantic, TIME Magazine, The Kenyon Review, The Village Voice, Gawker, and elsewhere. His books include Virology: Essays for the Living, the Dead, and the Small Things in Between, a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award.
