Samantha (Sami) Lyons teaches English Language Development at Catalina High School in Tucson, Arizona. Her students have been celebrated by her district’s Multicultural Curriculum Department for consistent use of multicultural texts and engagement in literacy activities. Sami holds a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College and graduate degrees from Purdue University and the University of Arizona. In her third year of teaching high school, she eagerly anticipates her multilingual students and the beautiful symphony of sounds they bring with them.
