National Book Awards Finalists Reading

A unique event, featuring exceptional writers reading from the year’s best books.

Each year, on the eve of the  National Book Awards Ceremony, the National Book Foundation presents a reading with the Finalists in the categories of Poetry, Fiction, Nonfiction, and Young People’s Literature. For many years, the event has been held at The New School in New York City.

Hosted by prominent figures in the literary community, the event is open to the public and live-streamed.

Sponsored by the National Book Foundation and The New School’s Creative Writing Program.
